ستيف بالمر يتنحّى عن مجلس إدارة مايكروسوفت

أعلن “ستيف بالمر” الرئيسي التنفيذي السابق وعضو مجلس الإدارة لمايكروسوفت، عن تنحّيه بشكل كامل عن مجلس إدارة الشركة والذي استمرّ كأحد الأعضاء فيه حتى بعد تقديم استقالته عن منصب الرئيس التنفيذي للشركة في شباط/فبراير الماضي.

وكان بالمر قد أعلن العام الماضي أنه سيتنحى عن منصبه كرئيس تنفيذي للشركة فورَ العثور على بديل له، ثم قام بترك المنصب في شباط/فبراير الماضي لدى قيام مجلس إدارة الشركة بتعيين “ساتيا ناديلا” رئيسًا تنفيذيًا لمايكروسوفت خلفًا له. وقد احتفظ بعدها بالمر بمقعده في مجلس إدارة الشركة حتى تنحّيه اليوم.وفي رسالة استقالة مفتوحة وجهها بالمر إلى ناديلا، كتب أنه يُغادر مجلس إدارة الشركة بعد 34 عامًا قضاها فيها للتركيز على نشاطاته الأخرى، مثل فريق كلة السلة LA Clippers الذي قام بشرائه مؤخرًا.يُذكر بأن بالمر مازال يمتلك عددًا من الأسهم في مايكروسوفت يفوق ما يملكه أي إداري آخر في الشركة. وفي حين أن بالمر سيحتفظ بأسهمه إلا أنه وبعد مغادرة مجلس الإدارة لن يكون له أي قرار في عمل الشركة.
